(Slight spoilers for Furiosa).
An underrated henchperson of the Mad Max universe is Mr Norton from the latest and hopefully not last film, Furiosa. Played by Elsa Pataky, we first see Norton in the chopper fight, where she is wearing a dress and is very much coded as backseat-of-the-chopper gal. But when they’re inducted into Dementus’ gang backseat-girl becomes the Mr Norton of wasteland notoriety.
It could be the ‘Mr’ thing is just a rank like sergeant (There’s a Mr Davidson too) but it could also be they’re getting to express their preferred gender. In fact I think that’s very much the case. The MM films love to have unspoken subplots, minimalist narratives that enrich what would otherwise be flat henchmen.
Norton’s gender transition adds a layer to his boss Dementus too (who already has many layers). He’s a terrible human being but he lets his people be who they want to be. Also… he’s the only fucker interested in actually keeping history alive. But that’s another layer…

This is a very thin attempt at an article. One Mr Norton and Her vulvalini general character are two separate characters. And two I really don’t think in the wasteland your pronouns make a ton of difference in the same way dementus is definitely not a doctor despite his title actually being Dr dementus. And he’s not the only one interested in keeping history alive….. Important Joe has his own History person Miss Giddy. Who teaches the people in his vault.

Elsa Patasky does indeed play two characters. This article (it’s more of a lil’ random blog post really) only talks about one: Mr Norton.
When we first see Mr Norton they are wearing a long dress and (as memory serves) pigtails. Despite getting hurt they win the fight for a bike and are inducted into Dementus’ horde.
If you’re gonna comment on an internet thing at least engage with the internet thing right.

Where is she seen in a dress apart from as one of the vulvalini which as we both stated is a different character. When she wins the fight she has a leather jacket on.
