I went along to Birmingham, UK, the other day- that birthplace of metal and the Venice Of The Midlands- to sign a load of copies of Pennyblade.

I was invited by Forbidden Planet, that flagship of comic book stores, to come I and get busy with a pen.

The staff were absolute darlings and professionals and I highly recommend you visit their store or any of the many FP stores throughout the realm.

This was my first ever mass signing. After some advice, I opted to use a sharpie: you can get through books quickly, despite my fears it doesn’t leak through to other pages and, I feel, it leaves a bold and vibrant signature.
